The SOUND CHART (Macmillan) for learners to recognise and use the sounds of English:

THE PHRASAL VERBS MACHINE (CUP) provides cartoons that demonstrate the meaning of the phrasal verbs and then provides practice using them:

POETRY This App allows you to find poems which match different themes (e.g. optimism, doubt, disapointment, joy, etc.) with different topics (e.g. life, youth, love, family, etc.). You can read or listen to some of them. Idea: encourage learners to find a poem they like, learn it by heart, and recite it to the class and comment on why they chose it.

Use MAILVU to record video messages using your PC or your smartphone and send them to someone by email. You can use this to get learners to send you their speaking homework.

GOOGLE EARTH allows you to go to any location on earth, zoom in, and walk around a location in 3D. Great as part of a presentation on places you have visited in the world!

SKITCH allows you to draw arrows on pictures and add text. Ideal for pictures you want to use as part of a presentation, or for sending postcards of places you have visited.

TELLAGAMI is a mobile App that lets you create and share a quick animated video. You can choose what your animated character looks like.
